Burdock (Arctium lappa) have dark green leaves that can grow up
to 28" (71 cm) long. They are generally large, coarse and ovate, with
the lower ones being heart-shaped.The leafstalks are generally hollow.
Arctium species generally flower from July through to October.

Capsella bursa-pastoris, known by its common name shepherd's-purse because
of its triangular,purse-like pods, is a small (up to 0.5 m) annual plant,
with small white flowers. The plant grows easily everywhere.
The plant contains Thiamin, choline, inositol, fumaric acid,
ascorbic acid, riboflavin, calcium, potassium, phosphorus,
beta carotene, vitamin K, niacin, iron, rutin.
Rich of vitamins and minerals, Shepherd’s purse reduces haemorrhage
and has tightening effects.
Shepherd’s Purse is also used externally.

The stems are straight, growing to 0.8–1.2 metres (2 ft 7 in–3 ft 11 in) tall, branched, and silvery-green.
Its flowers are pale yellow. Flowering is from early summer to early autumn.
It is very bitter, the substance is called absinthin.
